Patient care technicians (PCTs) assist individuals under the supervision of a nurse or physician. Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to, taking vital signs, collecting specimen, assisting with catheterization and taking care of patients’ hygiene. With PCT training you will be trained in EKG or telemetry as well as a phlebotomist. The two courses combine into what is formally known as a patient care technician (PCT).
In order to be considered, you must be a CNA or actively enrolled in our CNA program.
